CEST2027

Started in 1989, the International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology (CEST) is a leading environmental conference where top experts, scientists, entrepreneurs, representatives of public administration and social initiatives present state-of-the-art research on current and emerging environmental issues. Thus, CEST has been established as a forum for the convergence of business and academia, where cutting-edge concepts, research, and solutions form the cornerstone of a more sustainable, healthy, and clean environment.  

CEST2027 takes place against an increasingly intensifying environmental reality: mounting water stress, extreme heat, and the accelerating degradation of natural resources and ecosystems, challenges that are not new but with impacts that are harder to ignore.
In this context - and as the international community continues to confront these challenges through global environmental agreements and processes - how can we meaningfully discuss climate change when decades of scientific research have already warned us of the consequences of continued environmental degradation and resource depletion?

Breaking with a long-standing tradition of island settings, this year’s conference will take place in Thessaloniki, the second-largest city in Greece at the crossroads of the Mediterranean and the Balkans.
