Dr. Christos Vlachokostas is an Associate Professor (h=31, Citations 3.300), Head at the School of Mechanical Engineering and President of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation (CIRI) of Aristotle University Thessaloniki (AUT), Greece. He is the Director of the Sustainability Engineering Laboratory (SEL), where he has been involved in more than 50 research projects dealing with Sustainable management of Energy Resources, Circular Economy and Environmental Management. Among others he was the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Gas Distribution Company Thessaloniki-Thessalia S.A, a member of the Committee for the Evaluation of Inventions of the Industrial Property Organization, the Coordinator for the Restoration of Lake Koronia on behalf of the Greek Government and a member of the "Green Fund" Board of Directors."
