Started in 1989, the International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology (CEST) is a leading environmental conference where top experts, scientists, entrepreneurs, representatives of public administration and social initiatives present state-of-the-art research on current and emerging environmental issues. 

The 20th International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology (CEST2027) comes at a time of intensifying environmental pressure: mounting water stress, extreme heat, and the accelerating degradation of natural resources and ecosystems. None of these challenges are new, but their impacts are becoming ever harder to ignore.

Breaking with a long-standing tradition of island settings, this year’s conference will take place in Thessaloniki, the second-largest city in Greece at the crossroads of the Mediterranean and the Balkans, from 1 to 4 September 2027.
