Especially with water consumption, large amounts of highly polluted wastewater are formed and different types of pollutants are released in each sector. The most effective method for the treatment of amphoteric, toxic and accumulated dyestuff and heavy metals commonly found in industrial wastewater is the adsorption process. Egg shell, which is discarded as a waste that does not cause pollution in adsorption, was evaluated. In the existing batch adsorption process, the removal capacity of heavy metals and dyestuff was investigated by using egg shells in wastewater. The effects of the amount of egg shell (0.1-3 g), contact time (5-120 min), pH (2-10) and temperature (20-40 0C) on the removal efficiency were evaluated. The suitability of isotherm and kinetic models under optimum operating conditions was determined. In addition, the structure of eggshell was explained by basic characterization analyses such as SEM-EDS, FITIR.
