This study presents a holistic management approach for the Kryoneri Municipal Forest, spanning 14,013.10 decares in the Lagkada Municipality, covering the period from 2023 to 2032. Our analysis categorizes land use into forested, semi-forested, agricultural, and pasture areas, allowing for targeted resource management strategies. By employing methodologies aligned with the IPCC 2006 guidelines, we assess carbon stock changes and their potential for climate change mitigation. The research focuses on quantifying carbon stocks and fluctuations over time, revealing significant insights into the carbon sequestration capabilities of Kryoneri’s ecosystem. Furthermore, this study aims to provide actionable recommendations for policy-makers, enhancing the role of the forest in national climate strategies. By fostering sustainable practices and effective management techniques, we strive to strengthen the ecological integrity of the Kryoneri Municipal Forest, ensuring its resilience against climate change while supporting local biodiversity. This research ultimately contributes to the broader understanding of forestry's role in mitigating climate change and reinforces the need for coherent forest management policies.
