The EU water resilience strategy was presented in June 2025 with the aim to restore the current broken policy cycle. Nature and the catchment restoration of functions are strong levers to help build back resilience in the Mediterranean, a climate change hotspot. The key note will reflect at the emerging concept of resilience by design through water and nature, by doing a tour the table in relation to some of main thematic areas of the conference in particular exemplifying the concept through circularity, water and wastewater treatment and reuse. environmental policies, environmental change and management, hydrology and water resources, artificial intelligence in environmental applications. environmental health & well-being and climate change. This “tour de table” will be designed to highlight and learn from the complex, systemic nature of these thematic areas.
