Prof. Giorgos Demetriou is the Director of the École des Ponts Business School's Circular Economy Research Center (CERC), where he leads cutting-edge research in the field of Circular Economy. He also teaches Circular Economy and New Business Models at the ENPC in Paris. He is passionate about technologies, skills, and education curricula that can accelerate the transition from a linear to a circular economy. He has nearly 20 years of experience in the EU landscape and has authored and co-authored numerous influential reports, scientific publications, and articles. The Circular Economy Research Center (CERC) has received numerous EU research grants in niche research themes in the domain of Circular Economy and has contributed to the establishment of novel initiatives in the domain. He has spoken at several globally significant Circular Economy events, including the World Circular Economic Forum in Tokyo, where he spoke on the "New Frontiers of Knowledge of Circular Economy," the World Bank, where he spoke on "Circular Economy and Private Sector Development: Emerging Technologies," and the inaugural Harvard Circular Economy Symposium, where he spoke on "How can policy and regulation give traction to circular markets."
