Risk assessment regarding soil pollution: all set?
Dr. Frank Swartjes is working in the field of risk-based contaminated site management for more than 35 years. He has a background in hydrology and soil science. Since 1991 he is employed with the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), in the Netherlands, where he combines management tasks with research. His general interest is the development of risk assessment tools and implementation into practical procedures and solutions (human health and ecological risk assessment, risks from contaminant transport).
