CEST2023 Awards & Travel Grants
Prince Sultan Water Specialist Event Participation Grants
The Organizing Committee of the 18th International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology in collaboration with Prince Sultan Biz Abdulaziz International Prize for Water is offering six “Prince Sultan Water Specialist Event Participation Grants” to support researchers with limited financial resources.
The grants will be awarded to promising early career scientists whose research is focused upon innovative research in water-related topics.
They include free registration to CEST2023 together with additional financial support for the travel expenditures with a maximum of 500€.
Scientists who wish to apply for a “Prince Sultan Water Specialist Event Participation Grant” must be the corresponding author, as well as the first and presenting author of their contribution, and they must submit their manuscript (full paper) for review by 20 March 2023. The deadline has been extended until 12 May 2023.
Along with the submission, the following information is required:
a. A short CV
b. A list of Publications
c. The abstract of the presentation as the first author
d. At least one letter of reference by the applicant’s supervisor (only for the Student Researcher Grant)
Travel Grants Eligibility
Student Researcher Grant
Travel support is provided for early career scientists and postgraduate students (Masters/PhD) - who have received their highest degree (MSc, or PhD) within the past seven years.
Distinguished Researcher Grant
Travel support is provided for assisting established scientists from low, lower middle, and upper-middle income countries as determined by the World Bank designation of Gross National Income per capita.
All applicants will be informed about the outcome of their application and a list of successful awardees will be published on the CEST2023 website.
CEST2023 Awards
Young researchers (PhD candidates and master’s degree students) who will participate in the conference will be awarded prizes for their presentations. Competition among the papers presented in CEST2021 will be organized and run through the days of the conference. Three oral presentations and three poster presentations will be awarded and receive distinctions of equal academic value. The winners will be announced in a special ceremony during CEST2023 official dinner. Apart from the certificates stating the excellence of the research, a monetary prize will be given to the young researchers.
Eligible candidates must meet the following criteria:
1. Be a full-time post-graduate student/PhD candidate at the time of the conference
2. Not being supervised by a member of CEST2023 Programme Committee
3. Participate in the conference with an oral or poster presentation
4. Clearly demonstrate in their paper the innovation of the research and its scientific contribution
