Q: Where is the CEST2011 conference held?
A: At the beautiful Capsis Hotel Rhodes, at Rhodes island, Dodecanese, Greece. For more information on the hotel and location, see our Venue/Host city and Accommodation page.

Q: What is the cost of the conference?
A: The cost of the Conference is 450 euros until July 15. After that date, it is 500 euros.

Q: Is there a discount for students?
A: Yes, the registration fee for students is 300 euros.
Please download our registration form and send it, along with proof of your position, to the Conference Secretariat.

Q: What is included in the conference registration fee?
A: The registration helps cover the cost of the conference. It includes the Conference Proceedings, lunches, beverages, coffees and the official conference dinner. It does not include living or traveling costs.

Q: Can I register for the conference by telephone?
A: No, registrations must be in writing.

Q: How do I know if my registration submitted on-line was received?
A: You will receive an auto response shortly after you submit the form with the details of your registration (as html file).

Q: Do I have to register in advance or can I register on-site?
A: It is best to register in advance. This will help us to organize a better conference. Upon arrival at the conference centre you have to register on-site and receive the conference material.

Q: How can I pay the registration fee?
A: There are two options:
- by cheque, payable to Research Unit, University of the Aegean
- by bank draft

Q: How do I inform the organizers about my payment?
A: Please mail or fax a copy of the Bank receipt to the Conference Secretariat.

Q: Will I receive a receipt for my payment?
A: Once your payment has been processed you will receive your receipt (electronic copy). You can collect the original from the Secretariat’s desk during your on-site registration.

Q: I need an invoice for my payment. What should I do?
A: If you need an invoice for your payment, you should inform the Secretariat before your payment, by e-mail.

 For the invoice the following details are required:

1. name of organisation / institute

2. full postal address

3. VAT number (and DOY for Greek participants)

4. name of participant (please mention if the participant is a student)
You will receive an electronic copy by e-mail, and collect the original from the Secretariat’s desk during your on-site registration.

Q: Do I have to make my own hotel reservation?
A: Yes. Useful information is available at the session Accommodation of our website.

Hotel special rates are available to Conference participants at Capsis Hotel Rhodes, where the Conference will take place. For reservations, please contact T&T Executive S.A. (tel. Participants should mention the name of the Conference (CEST2011).

Q: I need a visa for travel to Greece. How do I apply?
A: It is your responsibility to obtain a visa in time for the conference. Upon request, CEST2011 Secretariat will issue you an official letter of acceptance that will assist you in obtaining your visa. This letter does not guarantee that you will be given a visa.

Q: Are there options for my strict dietary requirements?
A: During the conference there are buffet style meals, with a variety of foods.

Q: What is the conference dress attire?
A: Most conferences are business attire or business casual.

Q: I have an oral presentation. How must time do I have to give my presentation?
A: Time allocated for oral presentations is 15 minutes. For details see our Guidelines to authors page.

Q: I have a poster presentation. What is the appropriate size for it?
A: Approximately 65 cm wide and 80 cm high. For details see our Guidelines to authors page.

Q: Will you publish proceedings of the conference? How do we get them?
A: Proceedings are prepublished and will be available when register at conference site.

Q: Will my paper be published in a journal?

A: Selected papers will be considered for inclusion in special issues of the "GLOBAL NEST Journal", "Desalination" and "Journal of Hazardous Materials", after the normal peer review process of the journals.
